Progress
In January of 2020, we partnered with Loma Lina Children’s Hospital to make Blessing Bags for the nine different units along with their families and staff who work long shifts! As you get to know us a little bit more, you will know that we are not only getting together to make the bags and donate them, but we hope to share our stories and connect with each family and patient in the hospital.
In June of 2020, we made our first delivery of 100 Blessing Bags to Calvary Presbyterian Church at Copeland Hall to give to the unsheltered that was provided with their hot meals.
In July of 2020, we were given the opportunity to work with the Mayor of Riverside, Mayor Bailey, and his team where we received donations from the Love Your Neighbor organization. We were also featured in the City of Riverside’s and Mayor Bailey’s social media pages, as a local non-profit started by one of Riverside Poly High School’s Class of 2020 graduates!
Another accomplishment we feel excited about to share is our constant involvement in society. Our team has learned to give Blessing Bags to those who may be unsheltered, living on the sidewalks or in shelters in the community. It is always a blessing to get to know each and every person we work with, learning of many incredible stories people want to share, but do not always get the chance to.
In August of 2020, we partnered with National Charity League - Riverside Chapter to become one of their philanthropies! The mothers and daughters in this organization are helping Pea’s Blessing Bags by making gathering items, assemble bags, and deliver them!
In November and December of 2020 we received an incredible donation of toiletry kits, clothing kits and snack kits from National Charity League - Riverside Chapter. We had a Covid safe gathering where we made 200 blessing bags with NCL volunteers. We delivered to Copeland Hall and a community event, Sole Exchange.
In the spring of 2021 we delivered to Path of Life, a local Riverside organization dedicated to serving the unsheltered community!
Pea’s Blessing Bags was featured in Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s Mustang Newspaper! Check it out! https://mustangnews.net/cal-poly-freshman-starts-non-profit-and-plans-to-establish-a-chapter-in-slo/
In the summer of 2021, Pea’s Blessing Bags delivered around 80 bags to Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital to aid each age group in the hospital.
In 2022, we collected clothes in the central coast and were able to distribute to several organizations including 40 Prado and CAPSLO in San Luis Obispo
