THE UNSHELTERED
The first branch of Pea’s Blessing Bags is aimed towards those who are unhoused. We make bags filled with items including toiletries, non-perishable snacks, socks, mittens, etc. in order to create a sense of hope to help people in our community back on their feet. We hope to work hand in hand with organizations that are providing for the less fortunate until they are in a stable condition. Our goal is to take part in that by making these bags that bring a smile and establish the sense that we as a community care. So far, we have donated 100 Blessing Bags to Copeland Hall at Calvary Presbyterian Church to hand out with their cold meal they receive. We have also gone out on our own and handed out bags to those in need.

THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
The second branch is directed towards the children’s hospitals that are in need of items to help the children who may be spending an extended period of time in the hospital. These bags are filled with items that may include coloring books, art supplies, and toys! We are also working to give a little something to the families who may be staying at the hospital with their child which might include a blanket or even some toiletry items. Our goal is to be able to be a part of their journeys and establish a connection with the children, giving them another friend and someone they can share a smile with. Another aspect is giving a little gift to the caregivers who are working with the children and families in the hospital. It can be a difficult job sometimes and to give a small gift, like socks, or a blanket, can be a difference maker in their lives and in their job. We are excited to say we have partnered with Loma Linda Children’s Hospital to further these goals!
